I couldn’t help but think of hoosierboy when I looked out the kitchen window today and saw this:
When I looked out later there were two of these beasts on the web. If you look closely (and can take your eyes off the hideous thing) hanging around with the big spider is a very tiny one….same thing with the other big one. It turns out that the little ones are the males, heh!

I never minded spiders until I lived in Florida, where they are huge and aggressive. Glad I don’t live there anymore.

A very pretty garden spider I think. Of course it should be killed immediatly. Spiders are insects and toads eat insects and snakes eat toads. That thing is a living breathing advertisement to all snakes in the state to come live in your backyard.

A can of lysol or hairspray and a lighter will make a handy blowtorch to kill that spider.
Or you can just by a can of bug spray at WalMart, either way it is dead.
If you can stand knowing it is there it may eat some of the annoying crickets…

If you embiggen tht picture, and have issues with depth perception as I do, it looks like that f-ing spider is like three feet long, taking account the fence is probably six feet tall.,,if it is not an issue of depth perception, you best move now.

HB if that thing was 3 feet long I would have called in the national guard! In reality though the thing is probably about 5 inches long, which is scary enough.
